Jiangxi Airlines (RY, Nanchang International) took delivery of its maiden aircraft on Monday, December 14 Skyliner Aviation has reported. Sourced from parent Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen), B737-800 B-5511 (msn 37576) is the first of five such aircraft the start-up will use for its initial requirements on its launch early next year.

The carrier is currently pursuing certification with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and plans to connect Nanchang with various Chinese metropolitan centres including Beijing Capital, Xi'an Xianyang, Shanghai Pudong, Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Urumqi.
