GoAir (Mumbai International) is studying possible international destinations ahead of the arrival of its twentieth aircraft later this year. Under India's current 5/20 law, airlines may only start international flights once they have a been in service for at least five years and operate at least twenty aircraft.

"We are looking at starting overseas operations after we become eligible next year," airline's CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said last month. "We are still evaluating routes. It will not be a large-scale operation. Our goal is to run a profitable airline."

As it stands, airline sources told India's Business Standard that Kuwait, Malé, and Tehran Imam Khomeini are under consideration though no definitive routes have yet been laid out, the sources said.

Founded in 2005, GoAir is a budget carrier which currently serves twenty-two destinations around India.
