ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) has indeed ordered the A380-800 following the signing of a firm order agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for three of the type. As the type's Japanese launch operator, the ANA Group will take delivery of the aircraft from 2019 onwards.

"The A380 allows us to efficiently expand seating capacity at a lower cost per seat while offering a flexible range of cabin classes," ANA said adding that the aircraft would bring stability to its mid-long term business plan.

The A380s will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 motors and will be deployed on services from Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita to Honolulu in Hawaii.
