Alliance Air (India) (9I, Delhi International) will retire its remaining fleet of three CRJ700s between April of this year and March of next year an airline spokesman has told The Hindu newspaper.

The twinjets will be replaced by a fleet of ten ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) turboprops over the same period. The aircraft, which are dry-leased, will join the Air India (AI, Delhi International) subsidiary's existing fleet of two ATR42-300s and five ATR72-600s.

Using the Air India Regional brand, Alliance Air operates scheduled passenger flights to twenty-two Tier II and III airports around India as part of Air India's Connect India programme. One of the more recent cities added for example is Gorakhpur which Alliance Air now serves with a six times weekly ATR42-300 service from Delhi International.
