Oman Air (WY, Muscat) has signed a three year wet-lease agreement with Kenya Airways (KQ, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) for two of Kenya Airways' nine B787-8s according to a report by industry publication Airline Weekly.

Oman Air has recently acquired additional slots at London Heathrow allowing it to offer a second daily frequency on the route from Muscat. It currently already operates two B787-8s itself.

Kenya Airways has recently been cutting capacity on long haul services withdrawing all of its long haul aircraft except for its nine B787-8s from the fleet. It currently uses its B787 fleet on flights from Nairobi to Amsterdam Schiphol, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Dubai International, Guangzhou, Hanoi Noi Bai International, Hong Kong International, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Kinshasa N'Djili, London Heathrow, Mumbai International and Paris CDG.
