La Compagnie (B0, Paris Orly) is in advanced talks with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National) over the planned acquisition of new transatlantic-capable aircraft due for delivery in either 2018 or 2019.

“We’re thinking about the A320neo and the B737 MAX 9 and exploring all the best finance options for that purpose right now,” CEO Frantz Yvelin told TTG Media in an interview. “They’ll be new generation - straight out of the factory - aircraft and we’ll apply the same standards we have been doing, but some improvements such as even more comfortable seats and internet availability.”

The new aircraft, he added, may also be used in the launch of new routes to the US West Coast, South America and even Asia.

At present, the all-premium airline operates a pair of B757-200s on flights from each of London Luton and Paris CDG to New York Newark. A third B757 is expected during the first quarter of next year.
