Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) says it will defer deliveries of four A350-900s from 2018 to 2019/20 as it seeks to match its international capacity with the rate of expected improvements in foreign markets.

The carrier has twenty-five of the type on order from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) with the first expected to deliver during the second quarter of 2017. Along with an order for twenty-five A330-900neo which will arrive from 2019 onwards, the two types will be used to replace Delta's older B747-400 and B767-300(ER)s.
