Volotea (V7, Barcelona El Prat) has confirmed Genoa as its fourth Italian base and its ninth in Europe overall.
The move is effective early 2017 and will see the Spanish LCC increasing its Genoa's route network from the current Alghero, Brindisi, Cagliari, Catania, Naples Capodichino, Olbia, and Palermo International, to over fifteen routes by 2020. The number of aircraft to be based out of the Ligurian port city was not specified.
