Finnair (AY, Helsinki Vantaa) President and Chief Executive Officer, Pekka Vauramo, says his airline is scouting for additional A321 aircraft to add to its regional European fleet.
Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of the ongoing IATA AGM in Dublin, Vauramo said any decision to add more A321s would, however, be dependent on fuel prices as well as market conditions.
Finnair has a total of six A321-200 (SL)s due for delivery from Singapore's BOC Aviation from the first half of 2017 onwards. The aircraft will be used to increase the number of European travelers using Helsinki Vantaa as a transit point for flights to Asia and vice versa. It currently already operates 11 A321-200s.
