SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam) is planning to commence operations in early September following the official issuance of its AOC on Wednesday, June 22.

The start-up will initially ply regular flights between Dammam, Riyadh, and Jeddah International before venturing abroad during the last quarter of the year to Dubai International.

Owned by local Dammam-based firm Abdel Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani & Sons Group of Companies, SaudiGulf currently has three A320-200 (sl)s on its books with a fourth due shortly. It also has twenty A220-300s on order from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau).
