Air Pegasus (Bengaluru International) says it is in talks with its lessors to resolve a dispute over outstanding leasing dues. Despite earlier assurances the standoff would be resolved by late July, the domestic operator has yet to resume any flights.

"We are negotiating with our lessors. We are ready to pay 50% of the dues now and the remaining 50% in period stretching over six months," Air Pegasus Managing Director, Shyson Thomas, told India's PTI news adding that he now expects to resume flights next week.

Specializing in scheduled passenger flights throughout Southern India, Air Pegasus operates three ATR72-500s of which two are leased from Elix Aviation Capital and one from Nordic Aviation Capital.
