European Coastal Airlines (Split) has announced it will resume revenue operations on Thursday, August 25 following a near two week-long suspension.

In a statement, the seaplane operator said it has now resumed the sale of tickets in anticipation of the relaunch.

Given the announcement, it is presumed the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency (CCAA) has reinstated the carrier's Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) given a recent audit of its safety oversight protocols as well as operational documentation.

The suspension was triggered following allegations of poor standards and practices at ECA. Airline CEO Klaus Dieter Martin later dismissed the claims as desperate attempts by disgruntled ex-employees to tarnish the company's image.

In a related development, ECA's Danish partner, Nordic Seaplanes (Aarhus SPB), is also expected to resume flights this week. As a virtual carrier, Nordic Seaplanes operates using ECA's AOC.
