SaudiGulf Airlines (SGQ, Dammam) has announced it will commence revenue operations on Saturday, October 29 almost four months after it secured its AOC from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

The start-up said its first route will be a 2x daily Dammam-Riyadh return service followed by a 2x daily Dammam-Jeddah International return service on November 27. Flights to Abha, Madinah, Gassim, and Tabuk are expected to roll out thereafter.

Operations are on-board a trio of A320-200s SaudiGulf has already acquired.

SaudiGulf will be the second carrier to commence revenue operations in the kingdom this week. On Thursday, October 27, Nesma Airlines (Saudi Arabia) (NSS, Hail) began regular flights from its Hail hub to Qaisumah using an ATR72-600.
