Thai Airways International (TG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has revised its A350-900 international deployment plans following delays in gaining the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority's (CASA) consent to use the type on flights to Australia.

According to airline sources who spoke to the Bangkok Post, Thai will now use its two A350-900s to replace B777-200(ER)s on flights to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa with effect from next month onwards. In addition, the A350s will also be deployed on select services to Singapore Changi.

Despite delays with the Australian authorities, the carrier still plans to use the A350 on flights to Australia, they said.
