Asiana Airlines (OZ, Seoul Incheon) has announced it will increase its shareholding in Gate Gourmet Korea, an inflight catering joint venture between the airline and Gate Gourmet Switzerland GmbH, to 40%.
The airline said in a filing to the Korean Stock Exchange that it has acquired a 5.20% stake in the Korean caterer for KRW53.3 billion won (USD44.2 million) in cash.
The transaction is expected to close on July 1, 2018.
