The IAG International Airlines Group is reportedly set to announce an order with Bombardier Aerospace for an unspecified number of C-Series twinjets.

According to The Belfast Telegraph, the order includes an unspecified number of A220-300s for British Airways (presumably for placement with its BA CityFlyer unit), Vueling Airlines, and Aer Lingus.

Neither the airline conglomerate nor the Canadian manufacturer chose to comment on the report.

Should the order indeed materialize, it would be the first Bombardier equipment for any of the three operators which, at present, employ Airbus and Boeing fleets exclusively. Aside from the Lufthansa Group, other largescale operators to have ordered the C-Series include Delta Air Lines (seventy-five CS100s) and Air Canada (forty-five CS300s).

Thus far, Swiss and airBaltic are the only operators to have taken delivery of the A220-100 and CS300 respectively. At present, Swiss operates five CS100s with airBaltic operating two CS300s.
