SriLankan Airlines (UL, Colombo International) took delivery of its maiden A320neo following the arrival of 4R-ANA (msn 7486) at Colombo International from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Dubai International on February 26.
The state-owned carrier said in a statement it expects to add a total of six A320neo from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) over the upcoming twelve to eighteen months. The aircraft are leased from Air Lease Corporation.
Powered by CFM International LEAP-1A26s, SriLankan's A320neo are configured with twelve business class seats and 138 economy class seats. They will be deployed on flights from Colombo to destinations in India, and the Middle and Far East.
