Air Mauritius (MK, Mauritius) is seeking a strategic partner for its Air Mauritius Helicopter Services unit with a private Request For Proposals (RFP) having been issued in January of this year.

The Business Mauritius magazine reports Air Mauritius is currently studying the submissions with a decision expected shortly. At one point, the former Chief Executive Officer of Air Mauritius, Megh Pillay, had considered entering into a joint venture with local operator Rogers Aviation.

Air Mauritius is looking to the strategic partner to improve its rotary-winged unit's competitiveness.

Air Mauritius Helicopter Services operates one Bell Helicopter 206B-2 and four 206B-3s on sightseeing flights around the Indian Ocean island as well as airport-hotel transfers.
