Jambojet (JM, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) has taken delivery of a new Dash 8-400 with registration 5Y-JXB (msn 4555). The Q400 is the first of two the Kenya Airways low-cost subsidiary is leasing from Ilyushin Finance this year, both of which are sourced directly from the Russian lessor's Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) order book.
Jambojet specialises in scheduled passenger flights throughout Kenya with services connecting Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta with Eldoret, Kisumu, Lamu, Malindi, Mombasa and Ukunda, and also Malindi with Lamu. The new Q400 will join another of the type already in Jambojet's fleet, 5Y-JXA (msn 4491).
