Donghai Airlines (DZ, Shenzhen) has announced it has converted ten of its B737 MAX order slots to B737 MAX 10s at the 2017 Paris Air Show. According to Boeing (BOE, Washington National), the Sichuan Airlines (3U, Chengdu Shuangliu) unit has twenty-five MAX order slots in total.

Donghai Airlines started freighter operations in 2006 and expanded to offer passenger services in 2014. Donghai Airlines currently has a fleet of fifteen B737-800s serving more than thirty-five cities across China.

With an extended air-route network, the Shenzhen-based carrier plans to start international long-haul flights between 2021 and 2023 using the five B787-9s it plans to acquire.
