Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi Noi Bai International) is planning to phase out its fleet of seven A330-200s in 2019, airline CEO Duong Tri Thanh has told CAPA.

In an interview, Duong said that while its last two of the type are slated for retirement in two years time, they may be phased out earlier if possible.

Vietnam Airlines is replacing its outgoing B777-200(ER)s and A330s with A350-900s and a combination of B787-9/-10s. At present, it operates seven A350s and eleven B787-9s.
