Emirates (EK, Dubai International) has announced that passengers can now carry large personal electronic devices in cabins on flights from Dubai International to the US, with the airport joining Abu Dhabi International and Istanbul Atatürk in being removed from the large personal electronic devices (PED) ban.

"Effective immediately laptops and electronic devices can be taken onboard all Emirates flights from Dubai to the US," the airline said in a statement.

Saudia (SV, Jeddah International) has announced that it expects the ban on Jeddah International and Riyadh to be lifted on July 19.

The remaining affected airports are Amman Queen Alia, Cairo International, Kuwait, Casablanca Mohamed V and Doha Hamad International. Airlines offering US flights from these points of origin are: Royal Jordanian, EgyptAir, Kuwait Airways, Royal Air Maroc and Qatar Airways.
