Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Atatürk) has launched daily A320-200 services from Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen to Adana, Antalya, Izmir and Trabzon earlier this month. It will also add a new three times weekly A320-200 flight from Istanbul Ataturk to Lisbon on June 7.
Atlasjet International Airways (KK, Antalya) has leased three ex-Duo Airways CRJ-700s. It is planning to use the aircraft on its domestic services in Turkey. In addition, it will also shortly take delivery of a new A320-200 which was not taken up by JetStar Asia (3K/Singapore Changi).
germanwings (4U, Cologne/Bonn) will start three times weekly A319-100 services from Cologne/Bonn to Dubrovnik on July 9 and from Cologne/Bonn to Moscow Vnukovo on July 16. It has temporarily wet-leased an MD-81 from Nordic Regional (NRD/Umea).
Volare Airlines (VE, Milan Malpensa) will resume operations on June 1 with two A320-200s. It will operate two daily flights from Milan Linate to Bari and Naples as well as daily service from Milan Linate to Brindisi and Catania.
Meridiana (IG, Olbia) has given up plans to start new routes from Florence and Verona to Bucharest Baneasa. It will launch twice weekly MD-82 service from Catania to Naples on June 10. Meridiana will however give up its Florence-Amsterdam route by the end of September.
Meridiana (IG, Olbia) will launch a weekly MD-82 service from Catania to Cagliari on May 11. It will also operate a daily MD-82 seasonal service from Milan Orio al Serio to Cagliari between June and September.
Sterling European Airways (NB, Copenhagen Kastrup) is reportedly planning to start long-haul flights with B767s. It has signed a codeshare agreement with SkyEurope Airlines (NE/Bratislava) for the Copenhagen-Budapest route.
Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise (FV, St. Petersburg) will move its flights between Moscow and Berlin Schönefeld, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Munich from Domodedovo to Vnukovo Airport for the upcoming summer season.
