Luk Aero (Almaty International) has had its Air Operators Certificate revoked by the Kazakh Aviation Transport Prosecutor's Office non-compliance with the country's aviation laws.

"LukAero has no own aircraft and this fact violates the requirements of Art. 60 of the Law on the use of the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aviation activity," the regulator said in a statement.

Rebranded from Eastern Express (Kazakhstan) (Almaty International) in 2013, the charter carrier had offered flights from Kazakhstan to Turkey, Crete, Thailand, India, China and Vietnam using wet-leased B737-800s and A320-100/-200s during the winter season in the past.
