Daily Air (Taipei Sung Shan) has agreed to lease four DHC-6-400s from US-based firm CAVU Aviation Finance. The four Viking Air-manufactured Series 400 Twin Otters will be delivered during the second and third quarters of the year and will replace the Taiwanese operator's existing fleet of three Do228s.
Daily Air operates government-subsidized routes from the Taiwanese main island to the outer island airstrips of Lanyu, Lyudao, Taitung, Qimei, Wang'an, and Penghu. It also carries out ad-hoc charter/medevac flights using its fleet of MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 helicopters.
