The Dutch government has announced it has sold a VIP-configured Fokker 70, currently used for Royal Family and VIP politician flights, to Australia's Alliance Airlines (QQ, Brisbane International) for EUR3.7 million (USD3.9 million).

A press release issued this week said PH-KBX (msn 11547), which is operated by KLM cityhopper for Rijksluchtvaartdienst, will be withdrawn from service at the end of May. It will then be replaced by a Boeing Business Jet B737 which is due to arrive in 2019.

Specializing in scheduled passenger flights as well as FIFO charters, Alliance Air operates an all-Fokker Aircraft fleet of sixteen Fokker 100s, five Fokker 50s, and nine Fokker 70s.
