Aer Southeast (Waterford) has announced it will commence flights later this year after having been absorbed into an unspecified, fully certificated airline.

The start-up said in a statement it would continue to pursue its original plan of starting scheduled passenger service out of Waterford in southeastern Ireland to points in the United Kingdom. More details will be disclosed in the coming days.

Prior to abandoning its launch plans in July last year, Aer Southeast had indicated it would serve each of London Luton, Manchester International, and Birmingham, GB using a Saab 340 chartered from Slovenia's Lipican Aer (8I, Portoroz).
