Afghan Jet International (Sharjah) recently took delivery of its first B737-300, A6-JMK (msn 24674), ahead of its planned launch of narrowbody operations this summer. As the Afghan carrier's first Boeing (BOE, Washington National) metal, the aircraft is on wet-lease from Global Jet (United Arab Emirates) (Dubai International).

The Afghan carrier launched commercial operations on April 12, 2014 using two ex-Armavia (Yerevan) CRJ200s on domestic flights connecting Kabul, Lashkargāh Bost, Herat, Kandahar, and Tirinkot.
