It is to be recalled that Tripoli International, where the aircraft were based, has now been closed owing to sustained heavy fighting which has seen a number of aircraft either partially damaged or completely destroyed.

Following on from our previous report, among the damaged, yet repairable, aircraft are two A319-100s, two A320s, and two A330-200s belonging to Afriqiyah, three A320s and an ATR42-50 belonging to Libyan Airlines (LN, Tripoli Mitiga), as well as a Nouvelair (BJ, Monastir) A320 operating on behalf of Libyan Airlines.

Afriqiyah and Libyan Airlines have each lost an A330-200 while a stored ex-Guinée Express Aviation (Conakry) DC-8-62(F) was also destroyed.
