Thai Lion Air (SL, Bangkok Don Mueang) has returned its single ATR72-600 HS-LFH (msn 1134) to Indonesia where the aircraft will likely join sister carrier Wings Air (Indonesia) (IW, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta). The Lion Group subsidiary in Thailand had operate regional routes from Hat Yai in the country's south to Hua Hin, Medan Kuala Namu and Surat Thani but has now abandoned these routes.
It continues its expansion from Bangkok Don Mueang with a fleet of now eight B737-900(ER) aircraft and will retain up to eight daily services from there to Hat Yai and three weekly flights between Hat Yai and Udon Thani.
