JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) has concluded negotiations concerning the delivery of thirty-two M90s announced as a Letter of Intent in August 2014.

The first aircraft is scheduled to be delivered in 2021 and will be operated by subsidiary J-Air (Nagoya Komaki), where it will replace the current fleet of CRJ200s and E170s.

A total of 223 firm orders have now been placed for the Mitsubishi MRJ70 and MRJ90 with a further 160 options and purchase rights for 24 aircraft.
