Shaheen Air International (Karachi International) has announced plans to enter the Pakistan-China market during the last quarter of the year. According to the carrier's website, a 3x weekly Lahore International-Guangzhou service is scheduled to begin on November 1. Flights are on-board Shaheen's A330-300s.

Currently, flights between the two countries are dominated by PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) which serves Beijing Capital from Lahore and Islamabad International, and by Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) which serves Islamabad International from Beijing and Chengdu Shuangliu. China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) also offers flights between Islamabad and Urumqi.
