Tunisian authorities have banned all Libyan carriers from serving Tunis Carthage International Airport following last month's bombing of a bus carrying Tunisian presidential guards which killed twelve and injured twenty others. Terrorists linked to Islamic State later claimed responsibility.

As it stands, Libyan Wings (YL, Tripoli Mitiga), Libyan Airlines (LN, Tripoli Mitiga), Afriqiyah Airways (8U, Tripoli Mitiga), and Air Libya (7I, Tripoli Mitiga) flights have been diverted to Sfax with effect from December 5 to 31 of this year.

Tunisia claims the attackers are being trained and equipped by militants based in Libya.
