Oradea airport, located in northwestern Romania, will see its first ever international services later this summer.
With the completion of extensive runway and terminal renovation and upgrade works in October last year, so Blue Air (Romania) (BLA, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has now announced plans to start regular flights to Turin Caselle in summer this year. Local media reports indicate Air Serbia (JU, Belgrade) and El Al Israel Airlines (LY, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) are also studying the possibility of starting flights to Belgrade and Tel Aviv respectively.
At present, TAROM (RO, Bucharest Henri Coanda) is the only scheduled operator to use the airport with a 10x weekly return service to Bucharest Henri Coanda.
The airport serves the world renowned Băile Felix thermal spa resort located just 8km south of the Oradea's city centre.
