Southwest Airlines (WN, Dallas Love Field) Chief Executive Gary Kelly has confirmed the Texan LCC will use two recently awarded slots at Long Beach to add two daily flights to Sacramento International.
According to the Press-Telegram newspaper, Kelly said the flights would commence from August 1 onwards.
"If more slots become available, we will fly them. Long Beach is not only a way to serve our current customers, but to add even more," he said.
The slots became available after American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth) relinquished them in February following its decision to scale back its own Long Beach services.
