DHL Air (Austria) (Q7, Vienna) took delivery of its first B767-300ER(BDSF) and inducted it into revenue service on October 16, 2023, thus diversifying its all-B757 fleet in line with previously disclosed plans.

OE-LYA (msn 27686) is a 23.5-year-old aircraft retired by sister carrier DHL Air (D0, Nottingham East Midlands) on September 22, 2023, and then ferried to Budapest for maintenance. Already re-registered in Austria, it was positioned to Leipzig/Halle on October 13 from where it operated its first revenue flight for DHL Austria three days later to Bologna, AirNav RadarBox ADS-B data shows.

The jet joins eighteen B757-200(PCF)s operated thus far by DHL Air (Austria). The Austrian-registered production carrier of DHL Express launched in 2021. The older and larger British carrier continues to operate five B757-200(SF)s, four B767-300ER(BCF)s, one B767-300ER(BDSF), four B767-300Fs, and five B777-200Fs. DHL's in-house carriers also include Germany's EAT Leipzig, Air Hong Kong, Panama's DHL Aero Expreso, DHL de Guatemala, Bahrain's DHL International Aviation Middle East, Trans Am Aero Express del Ecuador, and a 50% stake in AeroLogic (with Lufthansa Group controlling the other 50%).
