Cirrus Airlines (C9, Saarbr├╝cken) will replace Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt Intl) on the Munich-Berne route as of February 1 operating two daily Do328-110 services on the route. It will also launch three times daily Do328-110 service from Frankfurt to Hof on March 28 taking over this public service obligation route from Lufthansa which had operated on the route with Contact Air (C3/Stuttgart) ATR 42-500s. Lufthansa will codeshare on both routes.

It will retire its five remaining ATR 42-500s as its main customer Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt Intl) is no longer planning to use 50 seat aircraft on its network. 40 pilots and 40 flight attendants will lose their jobs later this year as a result.
