Airlinair (AN, Paris Orly) has ordered a single ATR 72-500. It will take over the Bordeaux-Rennes and Bordeaux-Brest routes from Air France (AF/Paris CDG) later this month when it will launch five weekly roundtrips on both routes using a Chalair Aviation (CLG/Caen) Beech 1900.

Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) has sold its 50% in tour operator Thomas Cook to co-owner KarstadtQuelle. As part of the transaction Lufthansa will increase its stake in leisure carrier Condor (DE/Frankfurt) from 10 to 24.9% and take over Condor's stake in Sun Express (XQ/Antalya). Lufthansa has wet-leased a single EMB-170 from Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrücken). It will launch several new routes later this year:

Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin Int'l) has announced plans to open a first base outside Ireland in 2008. It has signed a cooperation agreement with jetBlue Airways (B6/New York JFK) and is expected to eventually offer codeshared connections to US cities via Boston and New York JFK. It will launch twice weekly A320-200 service from Dublin to Santiago de Compostela on March 27 and three times weekly A320-200 service from Dublin to Vilnius on May 29.
