Med-View Airline (VL, Kano) is set to see a fresh capital injection after shareholders voted to increase the carrier's share capital through the issuance of a total of 2,249,350,600 ordinary shares valued at NGN0.50 each.

A Lagos Stock Exchange filing said the price of the issuance, which was approved during an AGM on March 28, would be determined by Med-View's directors acting in the best interest of the company.

Singaporean sovereign wealth fund reduces VietJetAir stake

GIC Pte, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, has reduced its shareholding in VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi) to 4.97% and is no longer considered a major shareholder in the budget carrier.

A disclosure to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) on March 29 states GIC sold 265,900 VietJetAir shares thereby reducing its stake from 22,712,310 shares (5.03%) to 22,446,410 (4.97%). The buyer was not disclosed.

Singapore Airlines eyes Boeing MoM jet for the group

Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) is interested in the proposed new Boeing middle-of-the-market (MoM) jet but, if ordered, could place it with one of the Singapore Airlines Group subsidiaries, such as Scoot (TR, Singapore Changi), CEO Goh Choon Phong has been quoted as saying by Aviation Week.

Azman Air (ZQ, Kano) has returned its only widebody aircraft to Egypt's Air Leisure (AL, Cairo Int'l) having failed to deploy it into service since it was delivered in October 2017.

According to Skyliner Aviation, A330-200 SU-ALC (msn 392) was ferried from Kano to Cairo Int'l on March 22.
