Russia's Aviastar-TU adds maiden B757 freighter

Aviastar-TU (4B, Zhukovsky) has taken delivery of its first B757-200(PF) following the arrival of VP-BHM (msn 25368) at Moscow Domodedovo on Sunday, July 8.

The 25-year-old freighter is the first Western equipment to feature in the Russian cargo specialist's fleet which, until now, had consisted of four Tu-204 freighters - two Tu-204Cs, one -100C, and one -100C-03.

Aviastar-TU's current customers include DHL Express and Russian Post.

Saudia mulls B777X acquisition

Saudia (SV, Jeddah) is considering ordering an unspecified number of B777X jets from Boeing (BOE, Chicago O'Hare), Reuters has reported citing three sources familiar with developments.

No further details were revealed and neither the airline nor Boeing chose to comment on the report.
