Shareholder sues Allegiant Air over safety standards

Charlotte Woolery, a shareholder of Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas McCarran), filed a lawsuit against the airline in the Clark County District Court, alleging that the airline damaged its shareholders' interest by its "lax safety standards", the Las Vegas Review-Journal has reported.

Slovenia's Adria Airways completes $4.6mn recapitalisation

Adria Airways (JP, Ljubljana) has completed the EUR4 million euro (USD4.6 million) recapitalisation by its owner 4K Invest, a German investment fund. The Slovenian carrier expects to receive the second tranche of the capital injection in the first quarter of 2019.

"The payment will be intended for further business development and growth of the Slovenian airline," Adria Airways said in a statement.

The second tranche will cover a EUR10 million euro (USD11.4 million) capital injection.

Air Malta (KM, Malta Int'l) is studying adding A321-200neo(LR) aircraft in the next three to four years in order to launch its first transatlantic services, Malta's Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi told Television Malta.
