Avianca Holdings (AVH) has confirmed its majority shareholder Synergy Aerospace has suffered additional breaches of contract, this time relating to the purchase of Avions de Transport Régional turboprop equipment.

State Bank of India Chairman Rajnish Kumar told IANS he expects to have clarity regarding the future of Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l) by May 26, 2019.

Cobham Aviation Services Australia (NJS, Adelaide) subsidiary JetEx (JTE, Adelaide) has resumed Embraer Regional Jet operations following the delivery of E190 VH-ZPT (msn 190000451) last week.

Nepal Airlines (RA, Kathmandu) will resume its flights to Osaka Kansai on July 4, 2019 after a 12-year gap, following months of delay caused by the extended certification of the carrier in Japan.

The Nepalese flag carrier has announced it will operate the direct flights 3x weekly using its only widebody aircraft type, the A330-200. Nepal Airlines previously ceased to fly to Osaka in 2007. At that time, flights were operated via Shanghai Pudong using B757-200 aircraft.

Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) is in talks to buy Canadian leisure group Transat Inc. for CAD520 million Canadian dollars (USD386 million), the two parties have jointly confirmed.
