Ryan International Airlines (Wichita Eisenhower) is to be rebranded and transformed into Astrajet (Orlando Sanford), an international commercial carrier, according to plans outlined by new owner, Orlando-based AJET Holdings. AJET, a former Ryan International client, acquired the debt-ridden airline’s assets for $1.1million USD after it went into liquidation in January. Under its revised business plan, Astrajet will likely offer military and leisure tour charter flights, but will instead be based out of Florida and will lease aircraft from other operators, before staffing and re-leasing them out to other carriers in turn. Initial destinations are set to include South America, England, the Far East and Hawaii.
