Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) has taken delivery of its first of ten B787-8s, B-2722 (msn 34939). Initially, the aircraft will operate domestic flights from Beijing Capital to Haikou before being deployed into international operations to Seattle Tacoma Int'l, Toronto Pearson and Chicago O'Hare. Hainan Airlines is China's second carrier to take delivery of the Dreamliner after rival China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou), in early June, received the first of its order of ten. Altogether, Chinese airlines have ordered a total of 35 Boeing 787s.
