Aerolineas Argentinas (AR, Buenos Aires Ezeiza) has retired its last remaining A340-200, LV-ZPO (cn 63), from revenue service. Skyliner Aviation reports the aircraft was recently ferried to Victorville where it has now joined sisterships LV-ZPX (cn 80) and LV-ZPJ (cn 74) in storage.

The quadjet was used on flights from Buenos Aires Ezeiza to Ushuaia domestically as well as to Barcelona El Prat, Cancún, Madrid Barajas, Miami Int'l, and Rome Fiumicino internationally.

Aerolineas Argentinas continues, however, to operate seven A340-300s.

According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, the only remaining operators of the type are: EgyptAir (MS, Cairo Int'l), Royal Jordanian (RJ, Amman Queen Alia), Armée de l'Air (CTM, Paris Villacoublay-Velizy), Al-Atheer Aviation (ATE, Riyadh), Alpha Star Aviation (Riyadh), Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar), EACS Aviation (Tripoli Mitiga), Egyptian Air Force (EGY, Cairo Int'l), and Qatar Amiri Flight (QAF, Doha Hamad Int'l).
