Sky King (5K, Lakeland) has officially changed its name to Songbird Airways (5K, Lakeland) filings with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) have revealed. The carrier was acquired by AerLine Holdings LLC on October 24, 2014, approximately three weeks after it emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on October 3.

Sky King, which has also registered the trade names XTRA Airways (XP, Miami Int'l) and XTRAirways for future use, specializes in private ad-hoc and public charter flights within the US and between the US and the Caribbean using B737-400 aircraft.
