Oman Air (WY, Muscat) chief executive Paul Gregorowitsch says the Omani national carrier is considering replacing its A330 fleet (four A330-200s and six A330-300s) with A350s.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gregorowitsch said the airline had considered Airbus's improved A330neo offering but ultimately settled on the A350 as a better longterm option. As such, Oman Air may take around thirteen A350s from 2020, he said.

Aside from the A330s, Oman Air's widebody fleet also consists of two B787-8s. As recently reported, a further two B787-8s will be wet-leased from Kenya Airways (KQ, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) for a period of three years.
