Watermakers Air (Fort Lauderdale Executive) has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for authority to engage in interstate and foreign scheduled air services using nine-seater aircraft.

It currently undertakes ad-hoc passenger charter flights between Fort Lauderdale Executive and Staniel Cay in the Bahamas using two Cessna (single turboprop) Grand Caravan 208Bs leased from Watermakers Air Inc.

As such, given an increase in demand for the flights and given the current limitations imposed by its present Part 380 certificate restrictions (only four weekly return flights are permitted), the carrier has applied for scheduled service authority. That in hand, Watermakers Air plans to operate the route 2x daily.
