Citilink (QG, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has outlined its proposed international growth plans ahead of the start of the southern winter season.

President Director Juliandra Nurtjahjo told a press conference this week that the new services would help the budget carrier improve its daily aircraft utilization to over nine hours/day in line with parent Garuda Indonesia's operational targets.

“The additional flight routes can improve airplane utilization. This can increase revenue and compensate the climbing operational costs,” he was quoted by Tempo news.

Among Citilink's target markets are Singapore (2x daily), Penang, Malaysia (daily), and Bangkok Don Mueang, Thailand. The Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta-Penang flight will commence later this month while Singapore and Bangkok will start in April and June respectively.

Citilink currently operates forty-five A320ceo and five A320neo on scheduled flights to 28 destinations across Indonesia and to East Timor. It also operates charter flights to China and Jeddah International, Saudi Arabia.
