Malev (Budapest) will receive another 10 million EUR in funding from its Russian shareholder Vnesheconombank (VEB) as part of its current restructuring plan. Aeroflot has recently advised VEB to put its stake in Malev up for sale. Malev has signed a letter of intent with Sukhoi for an order of 30 SSJ100s. Malev has now taken delivery of two additional ex-SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen Kastrup) Dash 8-400s and will shortly add a fourth aircraft of the type. It will however phase out its remaining five Fokker 70s later this summer. It has introduced two new routes to its network: Budapest-Amman Queen Alia: 2x weekly B737-600 service has started on May 5 Budapest-St. Petersburg: 2x weekly B737-600 service has started on March 29 Budapest-Uzhgorod: 2x weekly EMB-120 service has started on June 15 operated by Budapest Aircraft Services (BPS/Budapest) It has already given up its Budapest-Ekaterinburg route on May 13 and will pull out of Dublin, Geneva, Ljubljana, Podgorica and Venice Marco Polo by October 25.
